Canon warranty registration.?

I bought my Canon 500D Camera Body in Malaysia a week ago, and I wonder if I can log into the website Canon New Zealand because they live in New Zealand.

I'm willing to bet my house, car and even my collection of cameras that will not guarantee a camera live in a country other than that which purchased (legal definition of the country – not geographical). You can register with Canon in Malaysia and send it back to them for warranty repair. It is certainly worth asking the question, but do not want to be seen as support for gray imports damaging its reputation with distributors New Zealand. I lived in the U.S., moved to the UK and brought a load of equipment with me – and I had to send items for return to U.S. Warranty – And it's not as if I 'gray imported "to save money – which was a royal residence and registered with my U.S. address, and that no transfer guarantees the counterpart of the United Kingdom. And I'm not just talking about cameras – my mountain bike was bought in the U.S. Kona and the United Kingdom does not want to know – my light and the light was moving units to be sent back to Los Angeles for repair (at my expense, of course) despite having a presence in the UK.
