I'm taking pictures of a musical with a D-SLR, what do you think is the best option to take these photos?
It's in an Olympus E-420, taking pictures of a music school that has lots of lighting. I have given some, but are coming out very blurry or dull because they are not getting the light of stage. I also try to avoid my flash if I can, I do not want to disturb the performers or the public. PLEASE HELP!
1) blur caused by camera or subject movement. Its shutter speed is too slow 2) it is important that you get light meter readings for each scene and test results before firing the actual performance. 3) try to take pictures during the dress rehearsal 4) pretend to be shooting sports and shooting at the peak of action. To achieve the goal to shoot 1/250th second with large-aperture lens, you may need to increase the ISO of the sensor. Any noise generated by high ISO sensitivity, most late may be reduced by using a program like Noise Ninja Once you have established the best environment formally, put and shoot in manual mode unless you see the light meter in his fall viewfinder or raise more than 1 / 2 point. If that happens very often swing, it is possible that film with the aperture priority mode with the lens open.
