Can I use a battary AA lithium ion my remote?

I want by batteries, rechargeable lithium ion for everything in my house. However, I'm worried that the tension is usually too high for a large number of smaller objects. I know they will work in a normal incandescent Light Flash, but if I take a few Solid State or a fluorescent light, which would be a problem? If so, can I use a "battery empty"? For example: if my remote control requires two 1.5 V batteries; If I use a lithium ion 3.6V with a blank "" in order to make contact with the other terminal, is that within the sufficient operating parameters of the device?

It really depends on the device. For some devices this would be good for others would not. I suggest you use the not so good NiMH batteries. They have a pretty good load, do not like to suffer the memory effect like NiCad almost as bad.
